View submission: I don't care about old people dying

I wonder what would happen if you flat out told your grandpa to die to his face.

I bet you he'd pick his 95 year old ass out of his rocker and smack you into 1942.

Get used to it kid. The avererage life expectancy is only going to increase from here.

My grandpa has said for years now that he doesn't mind if it ends.

Of course I will be sad when goes, but at this point I'll almost consider it a mercy.

The average life expectancy has actually been decreasing.

My father wanted to die and I flat out told him I would help him with that if there was a legal way to do so. Thankfully it happened naturally.

The keyword is "average." - It doesn't necessarily mean people as a whole are guaranteed to live longer. It's a common misunderstanding when talking about life expectancy. Also, expectancy just means "pretty sure we're right, it should be (fill in the blank for whatever topic)." It doesn't mean guaranteed.

My grandfather begged to die. He got a DNR but survived cancer and COVID without the DNR becoming a factor.

Not everyone wants to suffer for every last second of life they can get.
