A BBC article already highlighted a section that shows US drug companies want longer patents as part of a deal, meaning a longer wait until cheaper alternatives for new drugs and therefore higher prices.

I was more referring to how weak our position is in these one sided negotiations. The quotes certainly suggest we are going to get what we are given.
