Lmao are you kidding me? That's your takeaway from this? The point of resignation, as I understand it, is to refuse to sit idly by while systemic issues run rampant. The fastest way to change an organization is changing the people in it, and a notable figure stepping away is one of the few things that pushes companies to reconsider their direction. It is not about black people being incapable of climbing the ladder themself, nor about white people being obligated to give up their higher roles to black folks.
It's more saying "Hey I think things around here need some better self-evaluation that I really cant do on my own, so I am moving on to other opportunities and trying to leave advice for how to improve behind"
Up to everyone's interpretation, obviously, but I really dont believe white guilt is what's going on here
