I haven’t pulled out a single hair for over a day now! So proud of myself.
I’m trying to make it 90 days. Like other habits/ addictions this should get easier and take less will power if I can make it that long. (I realize it’s controversial to look at trich this way, but I think it’s the only functional way to quit based on success stories I’ve read)
I have a small reward I plan on getting myself every day for the first week, then every week for the rest of the month, then monthly from there on out.
Since I made it one day I’m getting ice cream from my favorite ice cream shop today.
Anyone have any success stories or motivation they care share?
Sending love to anyone else taking it one day at a time. 💖

I’m so glad to see posts like this! It can be so overwhelming when the best I can do is a weekend, then read all these one month/one year posts that make me feel so bad about myself. (I know that’s not the point of those posts and I’m happy for them, but ugh it can just be so hard ya know?)
One day is HUGE and I wish you the best on your goal!

I've been pretty much pull-free for just over a month now, so congrats! I'm using a similar rewards system to yours. I think what's been really helpful for me, is that knowing that if I do slip up and pull out a few hairs a day, I've still improved on how I used to be, so I don't reset my counter.

that's a really amazing accomplishment, congrats!!!!!!!!! i think i've been trying to look to far ahead, and i can't go a day without pulling. maybe it would be better to take it one day at a time and set goals instead of telling myself i need to stop forever. but really, great job!! i'm super proud!

New to this sub, but very much not new to trich (been pulling for about 15 years), and I just wanted to thank you for sharing this HUGE accomplishment! I'm making my first serious attempt to stop pulling-- it's only been a few hours, which I know sounds crazy but it's a big deal for me-- so this post is super helpful and relatable. We've got this!

This is awesome! It gets so much easier the more days you go without pulling. I believe in you SO much and I'm so proud you were able to make it through the day without pulling. It is an enormous daily struggle that takes so much strength and willpower to overcome.
