In order to do that the students have to have some higher thinking skills that they aren’t developing because they are using AI for *everything*, so your point is moot.

I'm out here in the real world using AI to help me do my job every day. It's wrong all the time. But I'm still faster using it for reference for writing code than I am looking up syntax for it all the time anyway.

It's here to stay.
