True. I never looked at Reddit in the same way as the others, tho. It’s always been more of a ‘forums’ experience, especially in its early years.

Well, we’re not in the “early years”. The amount of disinformation, and bots that swarm Reddit is insane. You have ads that blend in with posts and comments. This site has the same disrespect for intellectualism as seen on sites like X when we have actual professionals downvoted because they share an unpopular opinion, and arm-chair professionals at the top of the thread because they shared the opinion the sub wanted to hear. Subreddits are LITERALLY echo chambers. This site is “trash” just like the rest of them.
