Hi All!

GRMD is coming, but June is a bit of a miserable time of year in Sydney, so rather than a cold park, lets go to a warm pub with a big (heated) courtyard.

*Where:** Carlisle Castle hotel, Newtown.

*When:** Saturday 22^nd June, 4pm-late.

*Bring:** Good vibes, the pub has everything else.

I'll try to snag a good table, come down and enjoy some drinks and good company. Hope to see you all down there!

*UPDATE:** I've just arrived at the pub, I'm in the corner of the beer garden (which is mostly undercover) in a red shirt and a grey jacket.

Some general info about the venue

Specialising in craft beers, quality pub food and friendly atmosphere

We have 17 different beers on tap, including a great selection of craft beers on high rotation. Also come in to see our wine & cocktail lists.

The bistro at the Carlisle Castle Hotel combines traditional pub grub with modern Australian cuisine with an Asian influence. Super enjoyable & super delicious.

And they have a great special on the Meetup day:

ALL-DAY SATURDAY: $18 COCKTAIL JUGS

Come in on a Saturday to enjoy our delicious cocktail jugs. Your choice between white/red sangria, pimms, tropical thunder and gin bramble.

Sounds like a great place, and it's just a short walk from Newtown train station

Im going to try and come but im worried ill be a tad awkward as a 23 year old with no social skills unless drunk so youll need to promise to have drinks with me.
