anyone else smell a god awful smokey smell? every dorm here on my campus can smell it and i have very severe asthma and it’s acting up bc of this smokey smell. what’s going on?

It is from controlledburns that were planned in some of the state forests near the Missouri Arkansas border and the warm southerly wind is blowing a lot of that smoke up here. It is unfortunate that it bothers so many people but it is a planned burn from the Missouri Department of conservation.

I noticed it earlier, around 11, down on Sunshine near Bass Pro. Definitely a haze in the air.

There was some sort of fire near Menards on Sunshine / Bypass for the majority of the day yesterday. Not sure if planned or unplanned, but it seemed like the fire department was aware of it.
