I won a left handed vertical mouse in a raffle. it might not be what you are looking for because it's a vertical mouse and you said no odd designs. it has a model number wgsb-016, which my internet search shows is jellycomb brand. it looks like the company that made it went out of business, so it might be hard to find. it is very lightweight and (important for me) it works with linux flawlessly, even with reprogramming the buttons.
i also have a right handed logitech mx keys vertical mouse. it feels about equivalent except the logitech one is heavier and has a proprietary rechargeable battery, so it's kinda worse IMO, despite being a $100 retail (i got lucky and found mine at a thrift store real cheap)
i need to add that having dual vertical mice, one on each side of the keyboard, i can pretend i'm piloting a giant robot if i hold both of them, which has a definite noticeable benefit to my mood. there's no use beyond that. totally worth it.
