I am visiting Korea in April. I have some old devices that I want to get fixed, but there is no official Apple Store where I live (despite popularity).

Has anyone done repairs while travelling? How was the price compared to where you live & what did you find about the experience and quality?

TIA!

If you get them repaired at the official Apple Store the price isn't that different compared to Apple Stores in other countries, although you may benefit from the relatively lower exchange rate at the moment. They will fix it with the official parts and communicating with the staff in English is also not a problem.

You can also opt for unofficial repairs, which are typically 20 to 40% cheaper than Apple Stores. While my experiences with them were okay, it may be hard to communicate with them in English. Also, you will lose any warranty (if you had any) and you won't be able to trade in your phone to Apple later if you wish to do so.
