The recent success of DeepSeek has made me reflect over the role of digital platforms in our socialist struggle. Not because I think that Chinese platforms are the way out of our system of tech oligarchs and surveillance capitalism, but because I'm certain that damaging US Big Tech could potentially bring an end to US hegemony, which relies entirely on its monopoly over global currency system. Thus, I propose the following strategy:
-Stage 1: A significant amount of users avoid American platforms and products, choosing their Chinese counterparts instead. -Stage 2: the Chinese capitalists' power over cloud capital allows the yuan to be more competitive. China becomes a counter-hegemonic power. -Stage 3: as US economy begins to fail, it slowly loses its influence on the policies of other countries. This creates an opportunity for them to unite against their American and Chinese masters, much like the Non-Aligned Movement intended to do during the Cold War. Our goal as revolutionaries is to make sure that this international association ensures freedom, human rights and sustainability.
So what do you guys think of this? Could it actually work?

AI and tech are mostly propped up by Uncle Sam, and China being a competitor just means that Donny will pump more American money into tech and force tech down our throats. The US will simply pressure all its allies to fall into line, like they did over Israel. It is funny watching all the tech company crash after DeepSeek released an open source AI program which performs just as well as them with a fraction of the cost, but don't really put any hope that it will do anything for the movement of the working class.
