View submission: Liverpool owners won’t sell club to ‘interested’ Elon Musk
honestly I feel like many fans would prefer to be relegated to league two for financial fraud than to see it happen

He briefly talked about buying United, and I genuinely would genuinely prefer being regulated to non-league over that.

Hate him, would be hard to carry on supporting Liverpool if it happened.

Not even joking when I say I would prefer this. That man would kill everything we love about our club and the game. It’s already happening to a degree, but someone like Musk in the sport would exacerbate the problems immensely.

I’d rather Anfield burned down than have him at the club.

As a lifelong Liverpool fan....yes. The mere suggestion fills me with anxiety, dread, anguish, and every other negative feeling. I would rather toil in the lower leagues than have him at the helm.

Just want to be on record as saying yes. I would absolutely prefer relegation to League Two over that.
Would be stoked to see a few League Two matches at Anfield.

Why would he want to buy one of the most left wing clubs in the league?! He'd be more suited to Reading or Oxford United. Even Millwall would be a better fit for him.

Like I get it , you have to be rich to own a club but this man couldn't be any more antithetical to the city of Liverpool, I wouldn't want him to own Everton

I think we would just pull a Wimbledon FC and start the club over, even if he doesn’t move the club to someplace random like Saratoga, NY

Feels like both would wind up happening. He'd probably fire all the people who knew how to manage the entire operation just prove a terrible point.

I’ve had family going to Liverpool games since the club was founded. One even played for Liverpool. I think him buying it and the shit he’d pull would possibly result in me stopping being a fan

I'd rather we set fire to Anfield, negate every title we won and the city of Liverpool was eradicated.

Why do i feel like reddit would get more angry about musk owning a club than they did about saudi arabia murderers owning clubs

100% serious, I would prefer this. I can't support a club run by an actual neo nazi.

I haven’t read the linked article but the tittle is a complete lie. Of course they would.
It’s probably a negotiation stance ‘we won’t sell club to Musk’ knowing that’s like throwing a hot sausage at a dog 🎣

That makes zero sense and also isnt true at all, and you only have to ask the fans of clubs that are owned by Arab money. They seem fine with it.

Man, it sure is funny seeing Reddit breakdown because of politics. The dude is arguably the most successful entrepreneur of all time and people here are saying "I'd rather see my club disappear" because of ideologic disagreements.
Yeah, the guy is extravagant, but it is extremely likely that, for all sucess he had, he knows how to deal with every business according to its demands.
