Politics aside (if that’s even possible when it comes to war), this is a beautiful looking city. At least in these photos.

I know it’s hard to separate the government from the architecture but there are some very interesting designs in their skyline and it’s more of a shame that the world doesn’t get to enjoy it the way it should because (insert whatever iteration of Russian government/policy that pisses you off. Plenty to chose from)

The new skyline is looking pretty rad. Wondering if St. Petersburg will develop one in the near future.

Looks somewhat similar in form to Philadelphia and Los Angeles-tight concentration of supertalls that tapers down to historic high/mid rises

Guys, we can separate the buildings from politics. Those are cool buildings. That being said, too many pictures and it looks like an ad from the ministry of tourism.

Man the juxtaposition between the beautiful Stalinist-style Seven Sisters and the new ultra-modern skyscrapers is really cool. Was first introduced to Stalinist architecture when recently visiting Warsaw and seeing the very pretty Palace of Culture and Science; really hope once things have cooled down in the region that I'll have the chance to visit Moscow and check out the Seven Sisters IRL 🙂

Are these recent photos? I though Moscow had some insane number of skyscrapers under construction. I'm curious where these are since I'd expect to see a lot of cranes. I can tell these are summertime photos but would like to know what year.

My friend used to be a long haul pilot for Emirates. So you can imagine he went all over the world week in week out.
His favourite place was Moscow.
He was a top shagger so women was always a big part of his review but he's said Moscow itself is stunning, enormous and as long as you can afford it, great food and nightlife
