The jump in graphics quality and technology from the second to third is fucking insane.

That last shot doesn't exactly show off Skyrim that well.

There are two games missing in there!
Arena -> Daggerfall - > **Battlespire** -> **Redguard** -> Morrowind -> Oblivion -> Skyrim
This is why there was such a huge jump in graphics between Daggerfall and Morrowind.

Too bad Redguard and Battlespire aren't in there (they'd be about the same as Daggerfall, graphics-wise).
Did anyone ever play those? I never did. They bombed, as far as I remember.

Looks like we can group these in 1 & 2, and 3,4 & 5.
Hopefully between now and the next one (there's going to be a next one, right?) we see a jump in graphics akin to the jump between 2 & 3.'
After that point, I'd be pretty confident in saying graphics could stagnate all they want, and the focus should move to depth of gameplay.

Is it just me or did Morrowind look better than I remember? Or is that a graphics updated one?

Daggerfall, despite the bugs, was a masterpiece. Still the biggest game world ever created.
Only Oblivion (without mods) was somewhat of a letdown as a game.

Skimpy clothing for the ladies even in the second game where it wouldn't seem to be of much use.

Be honest guys, who here has actually played daggerfall, redgaurd, or arena. That was so long ago. I tried daggerfall a few years ago but never finished it.
