Made bagels at home for the first time, I’m so excited ♥️ enjoying them with a good book and some wine I was gifted. Really starting to enjoy the little things and my goal is to start making more and more stuff at home from scratch. I hope everyone is having a good day/night!

They look a little undercooked, but were they good? That's all that matters

Oh now I really feel like baking bagels, yes making it from scratch is just so much more fulfilling. That sounds so lovely just some bagels and a book. I'm going to aim for that today. We have a really great bagel place not far till I can make my own.

I’ve made two batches so far from two different recipes. One suggested putting honey in the bath water, the other said sugar and baking soda. I think I’d prefer adding nothing. Also, parchment paper lining the baking pan is an absolute must. I’m going to try making some in a cylinder shape so I can cut them into bagel chips. Marvelous with hummus.
