Ok, I drink the koolaid, I admit. but I have a question.... If CO2 goes up, won't nature (and natural selection) make plant life more likely to survive and hence consume CO2 and turn it into abundant clean air (O2)?

Unfortunately, the rate of CO2 buildup in the atmosphere is far too rapid for increased plant growth to keep up with... by orders of magnitude.

Yes, over the next several hundred thousand to millions of years this will happen. After we wipe out the majority of biodiversity our great*5000 grandchildren can enjoy the fruits of our labor (those that survive the flooding).
