Couldn't you say that exact quote about any nationality in America? If someone has an Irish flag on their front porch, does that mean they abandoned Ireland and shouldnt be able to defend any issue happening against the Irish in america or celebrate any irish holidays as long as that flag flies? Your logic falls apart instantly. Mexican Americans' identities are shaped by both flags. Just like any other _-American, they don't have to reject their heritage to prove they belong here. Are they supposed to look at the Mexican flag with disgust? Pretend their roots don't exist? Never display it on American soil? Hide it in their closet so they don't confuse people like you that don't understand immigrants can have both positive and negative feelings about their country of birth, or that American born multiple generation individuals with brown skin and Mexican DNA can feel pride and identity in it? If you read the signs or knew anything you spoke about, most of these people in the protests are 2nd, 3rd gen meaning they're American born, citizenship having mexicans and you said "Why wave the flags of the nation you don't want to go back to" when many in the photo have probably never even been to Mexico! But it's immediately "go back to".

You are purposefully ignoring context that these people are waving foreign flags in protest to efforts to relocate illegal immigrants back to their nations.

But to answer your question, yes, my statement goes for all nationality flags. If there was an Irish person waving an Irish flag in protest to being removed from the US to go back to Ireland due to entering illegally, I would say the exact same thing.

It isn’t a racial issue. It’s an illegal immigration issue. And Mexicans aren’t the only people who migrate illegally, if you were unaware of that.

I see Mexican flags on porches all the time and it’s great. It simply isn’t the same context we see here and you are being disingenuous to say the least in your argument, and assuming Mexicans are the only group of people who migrate illegally is quite incorrect and offensive.
