tfw you're ashamed to call your NFT project an NFT project but... launch it anyway?
what a joke, if you know NFTs are hated and suck enough not to use the term then maybe just... don't do it.

That's what is most baffling about all of this. They kneecapped this initiatives potential by making it use those two technologies. If reddit literally just made it use a standard system where you just buy the unique avatar direct without any stupid "wallet" or "blockchain" shit, few, if any people, would give a shit and there wouldn't be all this hate.
A few folks would call it dumb way to monetize, but most would probably just shrug, go "OK" and move on. Why they went and blockchained this shit to NFT's when it was not necessary and they, unless they're just *that* fucking obtuse, know NFT's are going to attract controversy, if not outright hatred, is beyond me.
Then again, having watched some of the shockingly stupid moves the admins have made over the years with regards to this site, I guess there just is no low this bar can't sink too. Always a new rock bottom for them to reach.

But just think of all those rubes who have money sitting in their accounts that could be yours in exchange for a useless digital receipt!
You're only robbing stupid people, so they won't be able to do much in retaliation.
