View submission: What We’re Working on in 2024
Are you guys working on fixing the trash UI for mobile browser users? This is the most unusable website I frequent to the point I don't even check reddit because it is so slow and most the time it has "server errors".

The only UI updates will be trying to make ads more insidious and features that encourage spending.

Mobile UI is just there to push you to the app

Yep! In summary:
There’s more, but it’s probably not worth creating an exhaustive list because Reddit aren’t going to do anything about it anyway. 😒

Are you saying you don't like popup notifications every time you open up a sub?

Just use old.reddit.com in works much better and is cleaner in both full and in mobile browsers. No need for app.

Yeah, for instance there was a convenient expand button at some point but they removed it for no reason.

I just use old.reddit on mobile since they killed 3rd party apps

since the whole API thing and loss of third party apps (RIP Apollo!), the only place I check Reddit now is on my PC and old.reddit. I can't bring myself to use any mobile access! My Reddit use dropped dramatically when that happened.

or the damn data consumption of the app. No other social media app eats through my mobile data like Reddit (and I already tried every setting I could to reduce it)

I use old.reddit on firefox for mobile because it lets me use RES and stops reddit trying to show me anything I don't want (which is all their "innovations")
