View submission: Future of the Show Without Sundance?
Are they outlawing skiing ? Sundance is one week out of the year, the small businesses that may have always catered/organized certain events, or those who rent their chalets to celebs may hurt a bit, but other than that I think it’s fine. Have we ever seen film of lisa doing anything at Sundance? I genuinely don’t recall.

The festival is usually about ten days to two weeks during prime ski season. This year it’s Jan 23 - Feb 2. It used to be a bit longer. Brands, talent, studios all come in earlier to set things up, then leave as soon as the awards are over. It involves a lot of people - talent, directors, studios, people that finance and produce films, party planners, and (my personal experience) legal. People are renting homes. They commission drivers for the week. A huge number of them don’t know how to ski. It’s a totally different thing.
It will be interesting to see how that affects the town. PC will still have the Olympics ties, the great great powder, and US Ski. Those just aren’t part of the show right now. It’s been very glitz and glam and film industry adjacent. Might be kind of amazing to have a new athlete housewife. Ski mom.
Lisa has filmed doing Sundance events. One of her businesses, Luxe Marketing, is set up just for that. It’s hard to tell now how much she is putting the events on, with employees, or just coming in as a celeb host and branding for Vida. She’s been posting in Ft Worth this week from Rodeo, and caught reposting other’s stories, so it’s kind of hard to tell what’s going on with her and Sundance currently.
Meredith did a charity event for kidney cancer with Lexus and GLAAD this week. She and her kids are posting a lot from PC.
