View submission: Any supplementary material for Melanie Klein?
I find Joan Riviere’s work to be very helpful in feeling-into the concepts of Mrs Klein. Though the latter was a brilliant analyst and outstanding thinker, she wasn’t particularly gifted as a writer. So, for me, Riviere has a way of writing about Klein’s concepts in the everyday language of emotion and sensation, and this I found most helpful and useful both for myself and in my teaching of Klein/ians.
For a more scholarly (even if a bit obsessional) work on Klein, I highly recommend the writings of Dr Rachel Blass.
