The 3rd world migrants and sexual assault are often brought up in random conversations whenever someone mentions Sweden.

also I'm not saying that with malice but it's a common thought people have behind closed doors, just as the Swedes in the other post think of Poles as cheap manual labour.

Good I think.

One bad thing I can think of is the huge amount of immigration but I don't know how credible all the rising crime, terrorism and no go zones are, it could be real or it could be right wing media exaggerating or making up things.

somewhat unrelated but its interesting judging by the comments of the other post and similar posts i've seen how poles all over western europe are (still) seen as drunken uneducated thieves

i wonder if there is a lot of truth to this in those countries, or if it's a western superiority complex, or if it's because it's cool to be racist but only towards slavs, or if it's a mix of all of those

Give back art stolen during the deluge.  Otherwise positively.

You gave us Volvo (I'm buying another one), IKEA, beautiful women, few kings, love for Vodka and mutual hate towards Russia.

On the other hand... You sent out weird people to the EU that have totalitarian tendencies instead of your famous liberalism.

You invited too many immigrants that don't wish to actually make something of themselves and you cannot deal with it properly. Which makes you a heck of a lot weaker.

It's a complicated situation.

I am conflicted on this one. On one hand during Covid Sweden took a liberal approach to lockdowns which is admirable that sweden was able to handle that. On the other hand Sweden sent to eu parliament people obsessed with chat control. And now your prime minister is not able to handle issues with second generation migrants so he proposed surveillance of young people. Pretty swift change from: freedom for everyone to we need to control everyone because we didn’t handled immigration.

Other than that it’s impressive how well Swedish army is maintained considering previous neutrality stance.

Having visited Sweden recently, I have to say that all this talk about gang violence and rapes happening everyday in broad daylight and that "Sweden has fallen", is grossly exaggerated. Sweden has in fact not fallen and still exists. I've seen a lot more immigrants being a nuisance to society in the UK, France and Germany than I have in Sweden. Although, being the only white and non-muslim person on a bus in Uppsala and being stared at because of that *did* feel quite...odd.

But other than that and the fact that the country is expensive as fuck, Sweden is a very nice place to visit. I definitely appreciated that for once, everybody spoke English.

Would be really nice if they finally gave us back stolen art.

Mostly positively: Ikea, Volvo, well-functioning state, high taxes but you get a lot for what you pay, kind of main country in Scandinavia, you don’t need oil to be well-off

Some slight concerns: your rising crime rates make some of us say hate-to-tell-you-we-told-you-so on immigration, or: if you can’t integrate, don’t invite so many people in;

also, we’re not a third world country (anymore) and we don’t like that the Scandinavians can be condescending towards us - though this extends to all Scandinavia, starting with Denmark

and lastly, it would be great if we could get back some of our national treasures you guys robbed in the 1650s now that we’re pals, pretty please.

(DISCLAIMER: 2016 perspective, not sure how it's now)

Great country. I was struck by the overall cleanliness, no billboards on the highways & well preserved nature.

My favourite town was Gävle (whole city smells like roasted coffee beans, very pleasant to walk around).

Systembolaget is a little over the top. It's quite hilarious to see Swedish people rush in before the weekend to buy CRATES of alcohol.

Everything is expensive as all hell though.

I've met a few Swedes studying in Poland during my uni, at parties or through friends. And I’ve had nothing but positive experiences and good vibes with them, so I think they're in my top nationalities to which I have a very friendly attitude.

Allow me if i may despite not being a pole but I live in Poland and the first thing that comes to my mind is what they did to Poland few years back during the war and what they stole. Also IKEA and Volvo. Last but least and even as a Muslim expat when it comes to immigration, I find Sweden to be highly unsafe and it's a place I can't live or raise my children in as they did the mistake (Despite the good intentions) accepted every refugee without a prior screening, background check or understanding the mentality and adapting the process to the visitor's cultural customs and mentality which created a huge disorder. And on top of that they took many refugees from different regions and religions in a short period of time. It's nice to have good intentions and to be willing to contribute positively but if you don't do that well, you wont help those you are wishing to support and you will hurt yourself.

Considering Sweden pillaged Poland so hard that is was more damaging than WW2, I think they are on par with rest of the Scandinavian people, meh they're okey..

Swedes? Good.

Some good food, but not a lot. Nice people. Cool style. Fine cars.

Sweden? Rooted with problems.

You let too many immigrants that did not persuade the legal and proper path. They overshadowed any benefits you got from immigration and gave everyone a bad name. You still cannot deal with the reality of it being a mistake, which is not good. And you're stuck in sort of a ... Stockholm Syndrome.

If you were to clean up your act, get the bad apples either out or sorted, it would be an awesome and beautiful country, with beautiful women and awesome views.

People a bit reserved and cold, but well-behaved and agreeable. Sometimes to a fault, it's easier to take advantage of a person who avoids a conflict as it creates a view of being "weak".

Your women seem to be resistant to cold weather, judging how light clothing they wear during colder part of a year.

Idk much of the pole-sweed history interactions, but I know they stole a nice amount of treasure and gold Poland had, so that is something.

Edit: Also I have one friend from Sweeden. Good buddy, we played Planetside2 a lot.

We are still butthurting after the "deluge" , because we couldn't really get a hold of ourselves after what happened back then...but now in present times we are cool, Sweden seems nice. Your political correctness is a little bit way off in our opinion...
