I ask myself every day what the point is in existing (my life is not awesome)
IMO...
The purpose is to attempt to play the infinite game. That is our only charge as a species. We are the thing that has the ability to logic and reason. We are the stewards. We have the ability to think long term about the implications of how we act and what we observe. A model I like to use is: if there was an omnipotent God or All or whatever word you want to use, what would the greatest challenge be? The only challenge for an omnipotent being that makes up the sum of existence is to destroy itself. That's the model for the human condition - we make up some of the tiny pieces of that whole. We are like cells in a body that forgot they were like cells in a body. That's the test for us as a species - can we manage to play the infinite game or are we a destroyer of worlds? We all contribute every day of our lives to this tug of war.
