But it wasn't suicide in a sense related to suicide on Earth. What they found is that death gives meaning to plenty of things, and that's a point right at home in philosophy.

I agree with this but can't seem to adequately argue it. Whether it be out of boredom (in this case it is not) or simply being at peace (which it is), is it not still effectively suicide? It is in almost every way a good thing yet a sad and bittersweet thing as portrayed in the show. But it definitely isn't condoning the act of suicide on earth... right?
