Natural selection. If you abort, your offspring doesn't reproduce, and you have to spend precious time making another baby. Hence the fact that people who get born have a bias towards anti abortion over time because that trait get inherited.
Note that the ability to abort is relatively new and hasn't had time to be weeded out yet.
