Well would you look at that! We DID get some snow on the ground. How much more are you betting on?

This is a very cool photo. The foreground looks like it is in black and white, but the distant sky is very colorful.

Yay snow days! So beautiful! When it melts and refreezes at night it causes more ice which can be very dangerous especially in the morning. Be safe and smart everyone! ❄️🌨️☃️🤍💙

It's supposed to be well above freezing during the day every day this week (40 today). I expect snow in the am, and melting in the afternoon all week. Shouldn't be a problem to navigate if the predictions hold true.

I left Olympia for work last night at about half-past midnight, and my car had thick ice on the windshield. I knew conditions were cold enough for snow.

I drove to Rochester without seeing any snow until I arrived at my trucking company’s yard, when it suddenly began snowing very heavily. I had to pre-trip inspect the truck while getting heavily pelted with thick, heavy snowflakes. I thought we might be looking at a major weather event, but the snow stopped before I arrived at my loading point 14 miles away.

I drove the truck from Rochester to Bellevue, then to Enumclaw, then back to Rochester, and the word on the current snow situation around the South Sound is “sporadic.” I’ve been driving in and out of heavy snow all morning and into the afternoon, with very little sticking to the roads, but also with some bridges icing up.

Just about to leave Rochester for Olympia & home. It’s actually partly sunny, but still colder than normal for us. If we get precipitation overnight, I’m betting on snow! Probably another dusting, gone from the ground by noon tomorrow. Nothing like the February storm of 2019, which closed schools for days and made driving on side roads a nightmare.

I love the snow! Unfortunately it looks like we will just get these little spritzes.

Beginning of the end. Lol. I'm from the east coast originally and It cracks me up when schools close for a dusting of snow. I'm sure this stuff will melt within a couple days.

But it's something I love about this area... I don't miss shoveling a foot of snow before work... then shoveling when i get home so I can get back into my drive way. :)
