The Chickasaw National Recreation Area is real gem in this state. Beautiful area.

My family and I used to go multiple times every summer when I was a kid… a lot of good memories.

The whole Bromide trail is destroyed. Giant trees down everywhere.

Downtown still looks like it was bombed. Lots of cleanup completed but most of downtown are empty slabs.

Yes it is one of the most underrated places to go in Oklahoma. Go in the summer when the whether is unbearable. The water is so cold it will take your breath away even at the hottest of times. Lil Niagra is awesome.

I went here once with a former friend years ago and loved it. What should I put in my GPS to go back?

Many times! It’s so peaceful for a nice stress-free zone to get away from the real world.

Yup! Is the area/town recovered from the tornados? I haven't been back down there since then.

I do not think of that cold-ass water fondly.
