Yeah I agree it’s a bit of an over reaction, but I think almost as disappointing. Not defending him by any means but Polanski made good films at least, where Emelia Perez is apparently trash filmmaking and from the clips I’ve seen I can’t believe it’s a real movie that got financed let alone lead awards season. If anything it’s just shocking to see prominent figures defend such terrible film
