View submission: Monday's School Lunch

One of my boys goes to a school that provides lunch. Guessing he gave it a hard pass again today. The amount of wasted uneaten food is going to be shameful.

Why did someone who obviously has no experience with young children ever be given the opportunity to have input on selecting what they should eat?

Thats the point, then they can cancel the whole thing becasue the ungreatful poors turned their nose up at it anyway.

I hade a little listen into newsTalkZB the other day and they guy who does the afternoon segment was saying "why do they need to be eddible if youre really that hungry, you wouldn't be complaining"

Honestly, at least here in the US, mashed potatoes (even instant) & good ol ground beef covered with generic tomato sauce is cheap as hell and honestly pretty damned delicious. I would have LOVED that comforting hot meal in school, it’s very palatable to most kids, even picky eaters. It’s basically burger and fries level of basic kid food.

But this looks just downright confusing and inedible. I’m no chef so I’m sure I’m just unfamiliar with wtf this even is or how it could end up looking this way, but there are so many bizarre, unsettling colors mixed up in here and one of those patties looks overdone and burnt as hell while the other looks like it’s still frozen??? And both look suspicious, like they might have mold or something lol. I know they have regulations to follow and I’m sure that isn’t literally raw or diseased, but it really looks like it.

Most kids love mashed potato and mince/rissoles
