Gray told the jury failing to consider his autism would be discriminating against him based on his disability.
“His brain is different to those of neurotypical people and as I say that is directly relevant to issues in this trial.”
I know the role that a defence lawyer has to play is vital to a functioning justice system, but Christ the way they behave in sexual assault trials makes me sick.
Autism isn't a justification or explanation for sexually assaulting a 13 year old and to pretend that it is just furthers the stigma that other, non-rapist autistic people face.

As someone with Autisim, sexual assault and rape is not a symptom I can say I've ever experienced. Bad social cues does not mean you are unaware of what you are doing.

Having decided to read the article before jumping to conclusions based on his appearance I can report that he is not known to be associated with any political party or other organization. Sometimes a bad guy is just a bad guy.
