Saw this at a festival a couple years ago. It’s decent with good performances.

There was a Q&A with Shannon after in which he railed against streaming services, so guess he’s finally getting his theatrical release.

Cinematography looks bizarre but I love Judy Greer and respect Michael Shannon, so I'll check it out.

I was very confused at first that the actor who played the ponytail guy from Twin Peaks had a movie made about him.

Edit: it has been pointed out to me that I can't read and the guy from Twin Peaks is Eric DaRe. Leaving the comment up to bask in my stupidity.

At first I was like “that’s comically grim,” but I watched the trailer, and it looks very interesting!

Feels like a companion piece to "We Need To Talk About Kevin." The aspect of the parents trying to find solace in religion I think is very interesting.

Oddly lit, lenses, framed, and seemingly paced.

Hmmm.

Like someone used to theatre making a film.

Judy Greer was so embarrassingly bad in the Halloween movies, to the point that I never want to see her in anything ever again.
