It's the least user friendly streaming service and the recommendations are crap.

A fucking Uwe Boll movie has been in the top 10 for months for God's sake

No matter what platform, the app is always the slowest most dogshit streaming service by FAR

These companies are not even trying to succeed

I still fail to see why they needed their own streaming service

How could they lose that much when they already own a majority of the content they have on the site?!?

The only reason I use it is for Star Trek. And they just canceled Lower Decks.

Paramount+ remains awful. The UI lacks things a 2025 streaming service should have.

UI sucks and somehow the streaming quality is worse than all other apps

Uhh... Most of the comments are reading as if the 286m net loss is a negative and piling on with complaints about the app. If you get past the headline, 286m is an improvement from the 490m net loss the year prior. I.e., paramount invested a ton of money in developing a streaming service up front and made an awesome gain on their debt. If they keep at this rate, the service will be profitable in a year and a half or sooner.

Turns out people don't like having a subscription that then tells them they need another subscription for most of the things they actually want to watch?

The only thing I watch on it is The Daily Show and it never recommends it for me. I have to dig every time.

Cut some of their execs salaries, it won’t look so bad. It’ll still be bad, just less so.

Good, a lot of these services need fail. They are all cash grabs that saw the money that Netflix and Hulu were making and decided they wanted all the money instead.

Paramount, peacock, and others could have easily made money off the licensing deals and they all instead became greedy. Made people go from 1/2 service to suddenly 5/6 and price themselves out of the market cause not enough people are willing to pay for their shows and movies.

I wish them more losses until the give up their half baked platform and allow better established companies to show their products.

They ruined fucking Halo. If there was ever a game that could have totally slid right over to a TV series, Halo was a layup. Not only was the writing awful, they fucking ruined it. Fuck Paramount+

“ For the direct-to-consumer segment, which includes Pluto TV and BET+, Paramount posted an adjusted OIBDA loss of $286 million for the latest financial quarter, an improvement from the $490 million adjusted OIBDA loss in the same period of 2023.”

It’s not just Paramount+, it’s also Pluto TV and BET+ and other DTC Streaming services. But it’s actually an improvement from Q4 of 2023.

As much as I don’t like their UX, their content is solid imo.

These fuckers own the rights to Australian Survivor and choose to let no1 in America able to watch it legally. I hope they never turn a profit on that pile of trash.

Surprised by all these complaints. Anecdotal of course but my paramount app has never had an issue
