I've been Redditing exclusively on iOS devices for exactly a year now (which I know since today is my cake day).
In that time I have configured a loose but efficient method of moderating that is done mostly through the Alien Blue app which currently has zero mod tools available within the app. So any distinguishing or removals/approvals take place on mobile safari.
I really enjoy the AB app and I feel like it is a faster, easier, more visually compelling way to browse reddit. I can get a very rounded, wholistic view of my communities and monitor them with ease. Of course, there are restrictions with this method, but I doubt they will be around for long.
I am a beta tester for the Alien Blue app and I have spoken with the developer on multiple occasions about incorporating more mod tools into the app--an idea that he is fully behind.
So, I think moderating on my mobile and my iPad stands to become increasingly easier via stronger app tools.
As a mod over at r/iPhone and r/AlienBlue I know that there are a ton of people out there like me who spend 99% of their time browsing Reddit on the app or at least on their mobile device. I think more moderators should be aware of this trend.
