View submission: Previewing Upcoming Changes to Blocking
People are going to figure out this method of abusing the system immediately. I guarantee it, our moderators will be blocked and unblocked regularly so that posts will be hidden from our sight.
This will prevent us from effectively moderating our subreddit and render us even more unable to protect ourselves.
This is bad news, and I feel strongly that you’re dramatically underestimating how vindictive, motivated and clever some of these people are.

It was figured out day one of release. Simple testing revealed how it behaved and thus could be abused.
