Assigning one to yourself?
If it's a sub you mod you can make a user flair template as in this guide Creating flair in redesign[1] and you could use 'grant user flair' to add it to yourself.

Or if it's on another sub (not all will have user flair available to users), or you don't want to use 'grant user flair', you add it via the sidebar. We don't have a guide on that here, but there's this one for another sub https://imgur.com/g7hcsya[2][3]
