View submission: How to add a banner

Ok. Here's what I found as far as what shows for banner on mobile Reddit.

The banner you put in on new-Reddit is inherited by the mobile browser view, but may get vertically stretched to fill the space, and it is inherited by the app view as well.

In new-Reddit, where you load in the banner, if you scroll down there's a place for a specific "mobile banner" which goes to mobile browser view and overrides the desktop banner there, but it does not to go the app view.

The old-Reddit sub settings screen also has a place to put in a mobile banner, and I didn't play around with that but I assume it also goes to the mobile broswer but probably not the app. The pixel dimensions it says to use there is smaller than what the new-Reddit equivalent recommends, though it's the same height/width ratio.

Incidentally, since I'm on the subject, IIRC the app inherits the sub icon from new-Reddit, but the mobile browser view gets it from the old-Reddit sub settings screen. If you don't put one in where it asks for a mobile icon, it uses whatever you have for the header image, i.e. the thing that has the Snoo and "Reddit" by default but most subs changed into a variant of that or even something totally different.

Thanks!

In my experience the mobile banner uploaded in redesign replaces the redesign banner in app, not in desktop mode. And the mobile banner in old does nothing.
