How do I turn on notifications for this again? They seem to stop notifying me about the new ones now

Oh no! Make sure you've joined the sub and that 'Reddit Talk in your communities" is on in your notifications.
On new Reddit desktop, you can also follow the collection we put these in. I also crosspost to r/modhelp
