Sub 50501 (50 states/50 state capital protests/1 day) is shouting out for citizens to have their voices heard on February 5th regarding Trump's and Musk's moves to drown the federal workforce en masse.

Why should you care and why should you protest?

US Dept of Agriculture

•Do you eat? Who inspects the food and processing plants?

•Know a farmer or rancher? Who provides subsidies and emergency assistance to them?

•Believe in Jesus's message about helping the poor? Who provides food and nutrition to those in our community and throughput the country who need it?

Social Security Administration

•Retired? Who ensures you receive the monthly payment you earned? Who do you call if you don't receive your check?

•Retiring soon? Who provides you with information on your rights and options about your earned social security pension?

US Dept of Interior

•Are you an outdoor junkie? Who maintains and operates the National Park System?

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

•Sexually harassed on the job? Not hired or fired because of your age? Who ensures your right to fight against employment discrimination?

ETC, ETC, ETC.

The federal government employs 3 million+ people, excluding active duty military. These employees are in your state, community and are perhaps some of your neighbors.

You are being conditioned not to support fed employees by being told only 6% report to the office, which is just one of many BIG LIES told by this administration (look up Goebbels and his propaganda machine that had decent, everyday German people supporting their habitually lying leader).

FACT: 54% of fed employees work FULLY in office and of the remaining 46%, 61% work a hybrid of home work AND office work. (https://nbcwashington.app.link/gxXAHOABDQb[1])

1: https://nbcwashington.app.link/gxXAHOABDQb

You are being conditioned to believe that federal employees are lazy and stupid.

FACT: "As a whole, federal workers are more educated than the overall civilian workforce. Nearly a third of federal workers (31.5%) have a bachelor’s degree, compared with 27.7% of all employed Americans. And almost 22% of federal workers have an advanced degree, versus 17.6% of all workers." See Pew Research.

"Nearly 364,000 federal employees, or 16% of the federal workforce, are in health-related fields – the single largest occupational category." What happens when VA is privatized and vets receive same bullshit health INSURANCE (NOT healthCARE) as non-vets?

"While the absolute number of federal employees may have increased slightly over time, their percentage within the total population has steadily declined." What happens when all federal work is contracted out and holders of the contracts seek a profit from their workers they sub out?

Educate yourself. Turn off Fox. Leave Truth Social. Protest.

There is a large segment of this population that has taken for granted the safe food they eat, the roads they drive on, the medicines they take, the public lands they enjoy, the safe planes they travel in....it is such a lazy, uniformed, and dangerous mindset. Frankly I've grown tired of it.

This is only the beginning.

Oh and for anyone that believes this has anything to do with government waste, you're kidding yourself. This is us returning society to the 1950s when white men ruled the day. MMW, no fault divorce, Christian based education, eradication of women's right to choose, women's right to have financial freedom, etc...

Oh and yeah, you can't get back to the 50s without steam rolling the 60s so all the progress society made with regard to race. Gone.

Sounds like hyperbole. All laid out in Project 2025. Hope Im wrong, confident I'm not.

UPDATE: (posted in other sub)

MS protesters must plan how to protest on 5th without permit.

In 2023, the MS legislature passed legislation that makes legal protesting more difficult. For protests in Jackson, 30 days are required before a permit can be processed. Jackson is a no go.

BUT, while "people will need permission from both the city and the state for protests or events in parts of Jackson, state permission is not required for protests or events near state government buildings elsewhere in Mississippi."

See, https://thehill.com/homenews/ap/ap-top-headlines/mississippi-harms-free-speech-by-requiring-state-permits-before-protests-lawsuit-says/

According to ACLU of MS and despite limits imposed by some towns and counties, our free speech rights and right to protest still empower us. See the protest reminders noted by them for Mississippians:

https://www.aclu-ms.org/en/know-your-rights/protesters-rights

Maybe instead of throngs of us in one location, 5-10 of us in 200 locations could work if we all have the same message in signs and pamphlets.

3rd UPDATE:

Based on all pros/cons I've read about protesting in Jackson, including reviewing the ACLU's notes about protesting in MS, it seems, given the short notice, it would take too long to coordinate small groupings in 100 or more MS communities.

JACKSON STATE CAPITAL IS PLACE TO BE ON 2/5 between noon and 3 pm.

Below is info i copied from a poster on Discord:

"Without a permit for the capitol building you should be fine if you just stay on the sidewalk and allow for anyone who needs to pass through to do so. I'm not sure if you'll be able to be on the grounds itself but that is a question for a lawyer. Yall DEFINITELY are gonna need legal observers, Capitol police is the force that will make contact with yall, not Jackson PD. And Capitol police might as well be the SS. Legal observers' role in an action is to show up and make sure that the protesters and the cops are in the right legally. I can share the link for it asap...protestsupport@mscenterforjustice.org is the email for LOs Website link: https://mscenterforjustice.org/[1]

I'll post update after speaking tomorrow with MS Center for Justice.

I’m in Michigan, but I’ll add a little context to what the goal might be here. We had a terrible governor about 10 years ago (guess which party) who ran on a platform that all state workers were underworked and overpaid; a claim he never backed up, but it’s easy to push a narrative when the only state workers most people have interaction with is at the DMV, and the experience is usually bad. Maybe qualifications are lower there, or they just hire grumpy assholes, but yeah, it’s not indicative of every state employee.

Anyway, that governor took away pensions and long term health care benefits for state workers. The only real bargaining chip public sector has over private is benefits (they can’t match pay due to strict budgets), and if you cut those benefits, your most skilled workers will look for another job. This is exactly what happened, and a lot of state agencies can’t keep staff, leading to constant shortages and a massive talent drain within the state. It’s a self fulfilling prophesy. Cut a bunch of staff / funding, watch those govt agencies flail as they try to keep up, and then use their engineered poor performance as further fuel to the narrative that govt workers are incompetent.

It’s a totally engineered scam, and since most American are too dumb to know how anything actually works, they fall for it hook, line and sinker.

MS people better wake up! Ump is going after much more. Your rights to speak out, your language will be only English, we have guns but you bet his crew will take them, remember back in the Nazi ERA, that's where we're headed. Many people suffer and die. They Don't Care! Not even Elon!

You make valid points. None of Jesus teachings center on the government. They focus on personal responsibility and the Christian mindset of helping those in need. If you can work and find ways to cheat the GOVERNMENT, you should e cut off. If you are a CHRISTIAN and are in the position to help someone who NEEDS IT, that is your personal responsibility. I grew up in an agricultural family, yes. Back then it was called gleaning. The outer portion of your fields were left untouched for the needy. Nowadays, that applies differently. Whatever you have left over should e used to help the helpless, not the unwilling

Wait. Has anyone been to Jackson in the last 25 years? It’s a dumpster fire. A wasteland. If the locals can’t get it under control, why not let them try? Jackson Mississippi is a travesty. Democrats have literally destroyed it.

Here’s a tip: if you bring in the illegal and undocumented workers, have them fly US flags instead of flags from their home countries.

I'm not sure why Yeshua (Jesus) was brought into this, but the book of Romans is very clear on Christians following authority. Asking them to disobey a direct order from scripture may not be the best way to get their help.

Romans 13:1-5 13 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

You can't cherry pick which parts of scripture to believe in. Invoking the name of a man who is both their Savior and Messiah simply to benefit your agenda seems like a dirty tactic. Would you do the same to a Hindu? A Muslim? A Buddhist? If your answer is no, it's probably time to make your point another way.
