If they were 10 dollars and it wasn't enough to keep the game afloat would good with it be? They'd just cut corners other places. Costumes are optional so I'll take them being this so long as the game is good.

The way some of you are justifying this price is exactly why it’s this price. No, it does not need to be over 10 dollars for them to make enough money to keep the game afloat. They will make magnitudes over however much it costs to keep the game afloat.
