Alright! The post headline might seem a bit clickbait-ish given what actually went down, but **the meetup did happen**.

The thread activity did seem overwhelming by this subreddit’s standards (as also observed by /u/ragingBull_100 here[1]). Though, things culminated in just two people turning up - yours truly and /u/ronniewhodreamsalot !

With more than one person being around, I guess it qualifies to be called a meetup (and better the solo efforts[3] from the past making /u/wordswithmagic remotely and mildly proud :) )

For any outsider or someone new to this sub, this is proof that at least 2 users here are not my alt accounts. Warna bahar se dekhne mein toh aisa lagta hai ki /r/Lucknow meri personal schizophrenic duniya hai!! :D

Anyways, hats off to you and /u/ronniewhodreamsalot for moving and shaking things up here a bit. You guys look pretty chill... izzat bacha li aaj tum dono ne is sub ki!

It's sad though that our efforts in hyping up this meetup didn't result in a proportional turnout. I look forward to the day when this becomes an active enough sub that there are at least 5+ attendees in such meetups. Will go back to the shadows and quietly slip into your meetups then!

Hahaha this is so sad, last year there was no meetup in lucknow. So this year when I moved to Mumbai, I thought atleast here I will get a chance to attend one. Guess what? Of all 365 days in the year, The Rain Gods chose this particular day to shower their bountiful blessings on the city, Mumbai got flooded, and I, house-bound :) Would have loved to be a part of this lko meetup tho.
