So I've found myself in one hell of a pickle... I have a wedding to attend on Friday afternoon and the suit jacket I planned on wearing is too big. It fit me very well 2.5 years ago, the last time I had a wedding to attend, and honestly I didn't realize how much weight I'd slowly lost since then. The other issue I have is that I work 7-530 M-TH... does anyone know of a good tailor who is open late and could bring in a suit jacket by Friday afternoon? Ideally located somewhere between Westbury and Hauppauge. TYIA

Not to get into the story but I needed .y wedding dress altered like 10 days before my wedding. Went to Nedy's Alterations in Hicksville and she did an AMAZING job and got it back to me with time to spare. Not sure if that's close enough to you but could t recommend them enough.

Rosie’s tailoring in Centereach. Everyone in the area knows Rosie. She’s a wizard, very friendly and reasonably priced.

Jesus Express Tailoring in Farmingdale definitely can get it done in time but they’re only open 9-530.

If you’re willing to pay, a local tailor with a shop may be willing to take after hours appointments and do a rush job. It’d probably be costly, but I imagine each one has a price where they’d be willing to do it.

Josey's Tailoring in Albertson. I think he's open after 5, but call ahead to check. You need to go today, though. It's going to be impossible to get a jacket altered same-day by an even remotely decent tailor.

I go to Sal’s tailor shop at 32 Glen Street in Glen Cove. Mike (his name isn’t Sal lol) is a very good tailor, and I know for a fact he handles rush requests, unless it’s an immense amount of work, I think he can probably accommodate. He’s open till 7 every day.
Hope this helps!

Another option—I just ordered a 3 piece suit with tie for my son who generously gave me 3 days notice that he needed a suit for a formal event. $65 from Amazon and it arrived in less than 24 hours with free Prime shipping. And it looked incredible on him this weekend. Really fantastic quality, and it came in a ton of colors. The brand was YND. Just pay attention to the size chart, I would have ordered him a medium based on what he wears in clothes, but he was actually an XS according to the chart and it fit perfectly. Good luck!
