Hi, Need help with reminding me a chinese proverb/quote i read years ago which pushed me towards excellence, it is a very good one and I would like to learn Chinese someday.
The peoverb is on learning and education, which has 5 small parts, with four of them sounding like this, Bo Xue Zhi, Shen wen Zhi, Shen Si Zhi, Ming Bian Zhi….. i might not have ordered them correctly…. They would mean along the lines of learn, investigate, practice, reflect and one other thing….. please help me remind the correct form and meaning of this.
Thanks in advance.

You might enjoy the entire 中庸 zhōng yōng, The Doctrine of the Mean, one of the four main Confucian texts. This quote is from Chapter 22.

Here is what ChatGPT says about it:
“This part emphasizes the importance of broad learning and deep reflection. It suggests that by extensively studying various subjects and deeply contemplating them, one can cultivate a well-rounded and profound understanding. This process helps in achieving a balanced and harmonious state of mind, which is essential for practicing the principles of the Mean.“
