Hi! :D I'm a 22 year old (M) college student in the southern USA, and I'm looking to make a new language exchange friend :)

My long-term goal is to become fluent, at least as fluent as a native English speaker can become. I plan to take the TOPIK 1 exam this October with hopes of at least passing level 1. I also intend to eventually, after a few years, pass TOPIK Level 6 :). Some of my reasons for learning Korean are because I would love to visit Korea one day, and I believe knowing the language would help a ton during my stay there. I find Korean history super fascinating, and I have bought/rented a couple books on the topic! I also absolutely love Korean food! I used to take a Korean martial art, and I enjoy PSY's music haha. Also open to any kdrama suggestions! Currently I'm learning from ExploreKorean.net with Miss Vicky and Talk To Me In Korean books, and I've started meeting with a professor at my school once a week (who happens to be Korean!) to practice. But I'd still love a nice friend/buddy to practice with more often as well :) and I'll help you with your English in anyway you need!! We can even have discord calls to practice with each other!

So a bit about me! I'm a junior in college and my major is in psychology and my minor is in English. I plan to go for either psychiatry or clinical psych. Besides learning languages, I really enjoy most types of music ( laufey, eminem, bruno mars, PSY, etc are some of my favorites), movies, and nice long walks in the cool wind :) love history as I mentioned above too, and I enjoy writing poems as well!

If this interests you, please send me a chat! I look forward to getting to know you and exchanging languages with you! 감사합니다!

I'm trying to get back into studying Chinese (formerly B1ish, maybe, but have definitely lost a lot since classes stopped during the pandemic) and would love to chat (in writing) to someone, either an intermediate or advanced learner or a native speaker.

I'd also be happy to do a language exchange (fluent in Swedish and English, upper intermediate in Welsh and German).

I could do DMs here on Reddit, but I've also got WeChat.

Interests include learning languages and shorthands, crafts (eg knitting, crochet, spinning, paper crafts, basket weaving), hiking and amateur radio. I've got two old dogs, a duck and six beehives and I work in biology/environmental science.
