See my comment above to SueBeee if you want my perspective…there’s so much more to say, but maybe what I did say, says enough? Not sure. It’s nice to hear someone say they want to hear our perspective on whether or not we feel safe downtown and when.

I’ll add what I did not say above. If I’m on Water Street, I’ll often hang out by Acadia Creek for a little bit and talk with a select handful of homeless folks that I know. Was lucky enough to meet them through some community outreach activities via Bronson and they’re cool AF. Every time I’m down near Water St and the weather is nice- we chill and talk about all kinds of things.

Would I sit in that same spot after the sun has gone down. Not a chance in hell which sucks because I’d love to feel safe in my own town at night.
