Me again! I do this with 4 normal bowlers
They dont float the same way as mexican hats, of course! So its much quicker and more ‘straight upwards’ throws. But you should have time here.
With bowlers, to start, you essentially go ‘up’ ‘up’ ‘two hat head shuffle’ ; ‘up’ ‘shuffle’ ‘up’ ‘shuffle’ ‘up’ ‘shuffle’
Its looking clean, but you have plenty of time watching that far out floaty throw. You need to get the second hat following it soon after (some delay more than a bowler as they ‘float’) then the rest will be the same, just slightly faster on the shuffles.
Edit; I’d hold two in one hand to start the ‘ups.’
Holding one hat; crown down towards floor, opening up towards the sky. Pinched between middle-ring-little finger and your palm. Put the second hat on its side on top of the other; crown towards you, cavity facing away from you / out to the side, pinch and throw with thumb and first finger.
Or you can try snatching it from your mouth.

You have a very long wait \ gap on your right "hatting\heading" hand before catching the flyer.
So, if you speed the other hats up just a bit, that gap gets even longer.
You can then do one more "hatting\heading" turn, aka handle left "thrower" hand's hat over to the right hand ( into that gap ), then with left take from head, then with right put hat on head , before only then now catching the flyer with right hand.
Basically then for \ seen fromout left hand: fly one - - handle one over - - fly one - - handle one over - - ... a.s.o.
The siteswap for it - if we let the headput count as a 3-high throw - would be '*a shower under a shower*' https://jugglinglab.org/anim?pattern=3531%3Bcolors=%7Bblack%7D%7Bred%7D%7Borange%7D[1]. The black hat would then never fly, only get "hatted\headed".
