trunt administration sez,

“This is going to be the best economy anybody’s ever seen. And to bet against it is foolish.”

Yeh, right, sure.

From the article - Elong gets to determine what is value add for the average American. Wonderful.

“A more accurate measure of GDP would exclude government spending,” Musk wrote on his social media platform. “Otherwise, you can scale GDP artificially high by spending money on things that don’t make people’s lives better.”

Speaker Mike Johnson, in a discussion on DOGE, mentioned how shocking the results are from the fraud that Elon has uncovered. Why is this shocking? The Republicans have had the Hourse of Representatives 9 of the last 13 two-year terms. So 75% of the last 25 years was owned by a party that isn't capable of digging it up themselves? Is the primary reason they can't dig it up primarily because they're the ones that buried it??

People are not screaming loudly enough at the town halls. I'm impressed the Republican representatives are even attending them.

Change the metrics, confuse the issue, lie about the facts, claim victory. I hope industry and financial professionals who need accurate stats will push back on this idea.

Haha, WTF? The U.S. economy relies on stable GDP numbers for things like credit ratings, bond markets, and loan risk assessments. If they start presenting an artificially lower GDP, lenders will absolutely adjust by raising interest rates.

So now we’re going to start providing “alternative facts” to the capital markets. Didn’t we learn this was a bad idea in 1929?

It’s a formula. GDP = C+I+G+NX. Anything not that wouldn’t be GDP.

So Elon just wants to take out govt spending so they don’t see the obvious tank in GDP lol
