Last time trump did this family farms went out of business and corporate farms gobbled them up.

He wants more economic chaos and a significant depression to allow corporations to buy EVERYTHING.

Good for him. I’m guessing it won’t be long term, but don’t let yourself be bullied right out the gate. As an American he should be telling us to screw off today

South America’s main trading partner is China. All the US is doing is speeding up the inevitable shift to total economic reliance on China.

And it’s not just Colombia’s coffee that will go up, every competitor can raise their prices too. It will shift the entire market to higher prices

Not part of the America they are making great again. Good luck to him. No-one wins a trade war. Good luck telling a sociopath that. Good luck telling a sociopath anything. A throwback to why the richest nation in the world suffered so badly during covid.

I remember Trump saying the world wouldn't be laughing at America any more... well, we weren't... but we are now... we laugh at the ignorant orange clown that you have somehow elected... again?

Excuse my ignorance, but based on what I’ve learned about tariffs, does this hurt Americans or Colombians more? Obviously trumps tariffs will make our own prices soar.

Sometimes you've got to fight fire with fire. China's waiting to pick up the slack.

Just got back from a trip to Colombia. I was surprised at how few US products were there. Most of the cars were from Japan and France (Renault). I don't think a tariff on US goods imported into Colombia will affect them much.

What did you expect from him. But Columbia is going to ramp up the coffee prices, drugs and hostage business. Cause Trump slap them in the face publicly.
