Keep this in mind and see who buys up the properties and what they pay for them.

As if Central IL doesn’t have enough problems… I recently drove through the area and the only word I can find to describe it was depressed

The same buildings that they want workers- the ones they didn’t fire- to return to, right?
Ready-Fire-Aim is a great approach when you wanna turn your $44B social media company into an $11B one; doing that to a government has *FuckYou* levels of consequences.

I’m sure the Republican representatives in the area will push back on this!!
Rep. Travis Weaver, your constituents are about to lose access to critical government buildings and jobs. Are you going to be a MAGA chud or are you actually represent your constituents?

Do you think Musk’s ego is massive enough that he’d try to fire state employees? I know it’s an irrational thought, but it’s something that’s lingered in my mind.

Their wealthy friends are going to buy them at a discounted price and then lease them back to the government. This is such an obvious scam!

The entire state of illinois is blight from when manufacturing left. Between ADM moving to chicago, cat to Waco, firestone gone etc. Thats just decatur.
Central illinois has some of the most vacated commercial real estate from anywhere else ive lived.
Danville, decatur, peoria, springfield, you name it. Its falling apart.
