I moved out of previous address in Hyd 2 years ago and I don't even live in Telangana/AP anymore. Where I live right now, I don't need the internet connection. There's already one. I have been charged for WiFi for past 2 years, I paused it first on one agent's instruction and he said they will disconnect it shortly and I forgot about that. Been charged 150 rupees per month and recently I realized they never disconnected it. I reached out to them couple of months ago, they say if it is paused it cannot be cancelled. I need to activate it first so that it can be detected and deactivated. I said okay. By this time they also made me pay the unpaid balance around 3000/- to even consider cancellation. When they activated the internet, they put me on the highest tier plan at some 800 per month. I didn't even know I would again be charged. They said someone will reach out in a few days and cancel it for me. They never did and it's been 3 months now, they charged 800 plus GST plus Late fee. I am again at 3200/- due now within 3 months.
Cannot even reach customer care representative on phone through app. It is a mystery labyrinth of which button will actually take you to a human speaking person outside stupid automated responses. Does anyone know what can be done for me to stop losing money monthly? I also tried twitter, they responded with "Apologies, blah blah blah, DM us to get this issue sorted immediately". I DM'd them they never responded there either.

Post this entirely on twitter and tag them. It would be plus if you could add Day# of twitter streak of reaching out to airtel that wouldn't let me cancel my subscription since 2 years.

Write an email to 121@airtel.com asking for disconnection. They will stop billing immediately and in a week disconnection will be done. They might call in between.
In Both Airtel and ACT there is no option to disconnect the internet from app. You have to either call or mail them.
Ask them to adjust the bill amount since you are not using it, they might do it.

Don't pay bill... But it will blovk that linked mobile no for. I done same after 6 months they requested fir closure from their end. Be caution bill will be keep adding and they will call you nonstop.
