Ladies and gentlemen! It's with great pleasure I announce that the borewell in our rented house in Gachibowli has dried up today. Manjeera water barely fills 1/4th of the sump every 2 days and is practically non existent. GHMC tanker booking is a hit and miss with long waiting queues. Private tanker mafias demand 1500 per 5k liters. This is just the beginning and no one knows when it's gonna end. Welcome to the summer, 2025! Peace ✌️

Ours is the only house in our street (Manikonda) with rain water pit. Every rainy season dad goes out to each home on street putting flyers in each home about benefits of it. Nobody got it done in the last 8 years. Two houses are currently getting water supplied through tankers. Dad spoke to them about the system again. Still did not get one done. I told my dad to give up but he’s very hesitant.

We do not have a water problem (yet), hopefully never.

Ours dried last month itself, Manikonda. Surviving on water tankers since.
